Sunday Music

Sorry, I have not much to say today. I’m waiting for a phone call.
Tomorrow business as usual. Wonder what the week will bring.
We hear a Fantasie by Silvius Leopold WEISS (1687-1750) (Ger., Eng.), performed by the Norwegian guitarist Sven LUNDESTAD (No.), hope you like it.

  1. Nice bit of strumming. And what else is there to do when one is waiting? Oh, there is a posh bit in the middle… bit like a harpsichord?
    Have a happy week!
    Sx

  2. I try my best Ponita ! Great to see you again !

She works the keyboard pretty well fei LX ! The call just came in, I can go to bed now. Morgen wieder …

  3. I prefer small forms and short pieces – but there can not be always Satie, and besides he’s a bit too depressing in large quantities. Weiss is one of the lesser know composers, a Kleinmeister as they were called. He wrote very nice pieces. Another largely forgotten one, a bit older, is Froberger, whose influence reaches until the classics of the 18th century.
You like it, then it’s good, dear Grouchy.

Don’t thank me IDV – glad you like it !
