Sunday Music, Tuesday

An old pattern seems to seep in gradually, Sunday Music slowly sliding into the week. But I will mobilise the remnants of my iron will and brace myself against this deplorable lack of discipline – Sunday Music needs to be brought to You, venerable reader, on a Sunday, not on a Tuesday.
Besides the mentioned heroic efforts I am back working. This morning I was a it late and was promptly scolded by the potatoe sack because she had to endure arctic blasts for three minutes. Sadly she did not freeze to death. I will have to bear this absolutely unbearable company for the rest of the year, because my regular codriver is suffering from the result of an operation that was meant to bring her release from persistent pain. I really hope she will come back in January.
Anyway, these two and a half weeks will pass too – very likely faster than someone would care for.
The illness of the last weeks resulted in a noticeable weight loss, I hope it will stay this way.
Enough with these trite trivia, let’s listen to a little piece of music : Herr NACHTSHEIM and Herr MADER perform a sarabande (Ger., Eng.) by Gaspar SANZ (1640-1710) (Ger., Eng.) – I hope you like the music. Let’s go through this week swinging, not swaying.

  1. Good evening, MAGO. I’m glad you’re feeling better. The music is lovely. It was perfect while getting ready for bed. Do ignore die alte Schachtel im Bus. This too shall pass.

  2. Mercy, ècume, I do my best, eleven days still to go (we’ll drive tomorrow). Glad to learn that you like the sara banda – now grab some gin, dear Fizz !

  3. You should be proud of yourself for all of these years that you have consistently posted! I am certainly proud of your consistent presence here!!! So a few days pass here and there. You keep going, you carry on, instead of giving up and letting it overwhelm you. Be good to yourself. I hope your preferred Codriver will find the comfort she needs and seeks soon. Next time the potato sack is getting you down, pretend I am with you making some highly inappropriate comment only you can hear. Take care, my friend! I mean this with the utmost sincerity!

  4. A better title would be “Mago and the Kitsune” Does Germany have any mythology about foxes? I did a quick search, but I didn’t see any. Sometimes I don’t know what I am. I know I’m neither demon nor angel. A spirit in-between. Maybe that’s just what it means to be human.
