Time for a new catch. Memorial Day this year was on the 26th of May and of course … In earlier times it was “Heldengedenktag”, but since ’45 that name is no longer a la mode, it is again Volkstrauertag, the national day of mourning. At the end of the church-year, 33rd Sunday in the roman-catholic circle.
But who handles dead soldiers? Who identifies them, buries the remains and keeps the books?
In the end it’s the quartermaster.
This weeks catch is the Army Mortuary affairs History page. There is a short history and the “Lady Be Good”-story, and a lot of other stuff to discover.
Go and read.

“What is it good for? Absolutly nothing!”

By sheer coincidence this is catch # 22 according to my list.
